The contribution of clean energy electricity production in U.S. is rapidly Increasing: 6.1% more for the hydroelectric and 10% for the other renewables.
In agreement with the analysis made by the Sun Day Campaign to the latest data published by the Energy Information Administration (EIA), a division of U.S. Department of Energy report "Electric Power Monthly" shows that the stars and stripes area is significantly increasing in national electricity production for the period November 2007 - November 2008 of renewable energy.
This is an increase especially important considering the decrease recorded at the same time period from coal and nuclear, respectively 2.7% and less than 2.3%.
According to EIA the production of renewable energy, including hydroelectric and conventional industry, has increased by 7.3%, with the wind once again as the best. The report estimate shows, in fact, as in 12 months the wind energy production has increased by 42.4%, with peaks of generation in Texas, California, Minnesota, and Illinois.
